JULIANA OCEGUERA

JULIANA OCEGUERA

Public Relations Director

She was born in Los Angeles to parents of Mexican heritage and earned a degree in business administration from the University of California Northridge (CSUN). She began her career at Chase Bank as a teller and has since been promoted to the role of Community Manager for the San Fernando Valley. In this position, she focuses on fostering connections between the bank and the local community.

Juliana comes to Chicas Mom Inc., thanks to her work at Chase Bank. She was always interested in helping mothers in her community due to her own mother’s experience of being orphaned as a child and working three jobs for most of her life.

She began her journey at Chicas Mom Inc. as a volunteer and eventually earned a position on the board of directors. Presently, she has held the position of Director of Public Relations since March 2023. Prior to this, she was recognized as an honorary member of the board.

Juliana is a mother to a 9-year-old boy and actively volunteers in various community organizations. These include the Los Angeles Mission College, the Friendship Center in San Fernando (a mental health organization), and assisting her husband, who is a coach for their son’s school baseball team. During the summer, they offer free classes to the community.

Juliana is blessed with a beautiful family who enjoys summers going camping. Her life has presented them with many challenges that they have been able to overcome, including heart surgeries for her and her son.

Her message from her to our community: “There are many free resources available. We must break barriers to achieve personal, family, and business goals. Remember to invest in yourself and make time for self-care.”
